The IUK Campus
International School of Medicine (ISM) affiliated with the International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK) has its main campus and this is located just in the heart of the capital city. This Block is well built with many auditoriums, lecture halls, Practical labs well equipped with modern multimedia facilities. The central Library of the University is located in this block, where a student can find almost all the books needed for his academic carrier here at ISM. Well facilitated with academic books, our Library also retains space for many other useful books that a student needs and finds interesting. The main administration of IUK is based in this Block, which has the beautiful scenery view of Philharmonia of the Kyrgyz Republic in the capital Bishkek, which just adjoins the campus.
ISM Class Rooms in the National Hospitals:
ISM has several agreements with the Ministry of Health, Kyrgyz Republic conducting lectures, practical and clinical classes in the government hospitals in Bishkek. It has many lecture rooms located in all medical departments of the National Hospital in Bishkek.
The departments include Cardiology, Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Oncology, Medical Physiotherapy and many others.
Lectures are organized in the lecture halls. During practical classes, students are taken to the respective departments to collect case histories of patients this encourages student-patient interaction and contributes to the practical medical knowledge of students.
International School of Medicine
The International School of Medicine, established in 2003, was made a part of the International University of Kyrgyzstan according to the Kyrgyz Republic’s Government resolution # 60 dated 05.02.2004 as a currently operating higher school of education. At present, the school has about 2500 students, predominantly from Central and South Asia.
To train highly qualified specialists, conduct scientific research in Mountain Medicine, and provide health services to the population of the Kyrgyz Republic and neighboring countries. Training at ISM is conducted with the most up-to-date educational technologies used to ensure highly efficient training of doctors. ISM’s primary goal is to produce highly qualified doctors who are able to successfully work in any part of the globe.
